What is the GreenVent Program?

The program offers incentives for the purchase and installation of demand ventilation controls. This program will be installing Melink’s Intelli-hood controls.

How do the Melink Intelli-Hood Controls work?

When your kitchen is not operating at full capacity, the Intelli-hood controls will scale back the necessary horsepower needed to remove the exhaust.

How does the Intelli-Hood control know when to scale back?

The intelli-hood controls have variable frequency drives (VFD’s) that will modulate the speed of the exhaust air fan motors. This is based on the temperature of the exhaust air and any presence of smoke or steam in the air stream.

How many hoods can the Intelli-Hood control?

One processor and keypad can control up to 4 hoods

How much does it cost to purchase the Intelli-Hood Control System?

Our Sales Representative will need to perform an assessment of your kitchen and can talk to you about the cost for the controls. If you are interested, I can take your contact info and our Representative will be in touch with you.

Who qualifies?

Restaurants, Supermarkets, Hotels/Motels and Resorts, Campuses & Universities, Hospitals and Nursing Homes that have commercial kitchen ventilation systems --- as long as they are a PG&E customer.

What is the rebate level?

Restaurants: $1,000/HP
Campuses/University: $600/HP
Supermarkets: $450/HP
Hotel/Lodging: $350/HP

What is the payback?

We have designed the rebate level structure so that the simple payback is around 2 years or so.

How do I participate?

If interested, we will have our Sales Representative contact you. He will then perform an assessment of your kitchen.

How do I apply for the rebate?

Once installation of the Melink Intelli-hood is complete, you must complete the GreenVent Rebate Application form and mail (along with a copy of your latest PG&E bill and your original receipt) to PO Box 8029, Foster City, CA.

Or fax the application, PG&E bill and receipts to 650-918-3214.

If you want your original receipt back, you must send a self addressed stamped enveloped along with your application.

If I purchased a Melink Intelli-Hood in 2009, can I still qualify for the rebate?

No. Only purchase made on or after 1/1/2010 will be eligible for the program.
